Privacy Policy
This policy describes how RootoverZero uses information on rootoverzero.com. It is written for the way this site actually works, including the free image tools, public URL downloaders, and project inquiries. Last updated 12 September 2026.
Who we are
RootoverZero is a founder-led software company operated by Redowan Trafder. The public site is rootoverzero.com. For privacy questions, email support@rootoverzero.com or use the contact page. WhatsApp +8801983822546 is also listed for project conversations.
This policy covers the public website, the free browser image tools, the onboarding form, website chat, and related email. It does not cover third-party sites we link to, such as WhatsApp or Facebook, which have their own policies.
Image tools
The Image Resizer, Image Cropper, Image Compressor, HEIC to JPG, JPG to PNG, and WebP to JPG tools process files in your browser. We do not upload those images to RootoverZero servers to crop, resize, compress, or convert them. Temporary previews live in your browser memory and are released when you replace the file or leave the page.
If a download is saved, it is saved on your device by your browser. We do not keep a copy of that download.
Public URL downloaders
YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X/Twitter, and Pinterest downloaders send the URL you paste to RootoverZero’s worker so it can request public metadata and, when they exist, public media files. Your download request is processed through the service required to retrieve the public media. We do not intentionally store downloaded files after processing.
We do not ask you to log into those platforms through RootoverZero. Private, paywalled, or DRM-protected media is out of scope. The URL string may appear in ordinary server logs used for security and rate limiting.
Information you give us
If you start onboarding, use website chat, email us, or message WhatsApp or Facebook, you may send a name, email, WhatsApp number, company name, project description, budget range, and similar details. We use that information to reply, understand the brief, and keep a conversation record.
Website chat may store a thread identifier in your browser (local storage) so the same conversation can continue. Optional web push, if you enable it, stores a subscription so we can notify you of a reply.
Technical data and cookies
The site is hosted on infrastructure that may record standard server logs such as IP address, browser type, and requested URL, for security and reliability. We use Google Tag Manager (container GTM-57TDXS8C) to load measurement and advertising tags. We also use Google Analytics (gtag.js, measurement ID G-WJS2BQGEG4) to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, approximate location, device, and similar usage data. Google processes that data under its own terms. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on if you use it.
We also keep a first-party usage log so we can operate the studio: page path, a random browser visitor id, country code from the host edge, timezone, and language. That log does not include the contents of files you process in the image tools. Website chat and onboarding store the name, email, and brief you submit so we can reply.
Pages load fonts from Google Fonts. Google may receive the request for those font files. See Google’s own documentation for how it handles that traffic.
If you use chat or onboarding, a third-party database (Supabase) stores the messages or inquiry you submitted so we can read and reply. That is not advertising tracking. It is how the inbox works.
This site may display advertising from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including ads based on visits to this site or other sites. You can read how Google uses data for advertising at https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads and adjust ad settings at https://www.google.com/settings/ads. We do not sell the contents of your image-tool files to advertisers.
Legal bases and retention
If you are in the UK or EEA, we process inquiry and chat data because you asked us to respond (contract or steps toward a contract) and because we have a legitimate interest in running a software studio and keeping records of conversations. You can ask us to delete a conversation by emailing support@rootoverzero.com, unless we must keep it for a legal reason.
We keep project inquiries and chat history as long as the conversation is active and for a reasonable period afterward so we can resume work without asking you to repeat the brief. Server logs, if retained by the host, follow that host’s defaults.
Children
The site is aimed at businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, email support@rootoverzero.com and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a material way, we will update this page and the date at the top. Continued use of the site after an update means the new text applies to later visits.
